“The Amazing Spiderman” is one of the coolest movies this summer – it’s a must see. Just in case you don’t know who Spiderman is, here’s a little refresher:
Peter Parker was an ‘invisible’ nerd until he was bitten by a radioactive spider and transformed into a superhero. This is the story of Spiderman.
Spiderman is one of my favourite superheroes because I think I share kinship with his alter-ego, Peter Parker. And he’s not some super-rich playboy or a world renowned scientist or an Asgardian god.
I digress.
Let’s return to the subject of this article with the aid of a simple analogy:
Peter Parker + radioactive spider = Spiderman
consumer + creativity spark = creator
I hope that cleared things up a bit.
I believe we all are born creative but only a few of us employ that creativity in our lives. Why? I really can’t say but I do believe that, sometimes, we need that spark of creativity; a moment of inspiration.
It may be because we need to be bitten by a radioactive spider (figuratively, of course).
It is important to remember that Peter Parker was in the laboratory – not the dormitory – when he was bitten by the spider. This means that spark of creativity will only find you in places that inspire your creativity.

Explore! Try lots of stuff. Hang around creative people. And the spider will find you for sure.
